Wickwater Riley
We are delighted to introduce Wickwater Riley, a gorgeous colt by Lord Leatherdale bred by
Laura Hillier at Wickwater Stud who shares the same sire and dam sire as none other than
the great Glamourdale!
Standing at the famous Van Olst Horses stud, Lord Leatherdale has multiple licensed sons,
including the outstanding World Breeding Champion Glamourdale and has earned his
reputation for producing outstanding movement and excellent, free shoulders and type.
Like Glamourdale, Wickwater Riley’s dam sire is also the famous Negro, sire of Valegro, of
course, and known for passing on power and balance. Behind that we find a prolific
motherline that has produced the international PSG/Inter I horse Djuice (by Jazz) and
successful showjumpers like Julio III (by Julio Mariner XX) and Alicante de Dwerse Hagen (by
Casantos).
At his Futurity evaluation, Wickwater Riley was still quite young, and nevertheless
impressed with beautiful type, long legs and uphill, naturally balanced gaits.
