Dam's sire Flammengold was victorious in dressage competitions up to advanced level and was active in sport up to an advanced age. He has long been known to produce rideable and talented dressage horses with excellent temperament, and Double Diamond’s mother Florencia is no exception, as she looks back on a successful and consistent dressage career with 195 BD points before embarking on her new career as a broodmare with this lovely first colt.

Double Diamond comes from the Trakehner mare family of Traviata family of Birkhausen Stud. In more recent generations we find multiple horses successful at medium level dressage in Germany, including Weingold by Wolkenstein (Dressage: successful level M*; Winnie-Boy by Wolkenstein II (Dressage: successful level M*); Petit Charmeur by Pepino (Dressage: succesful level M*, Summerwine by Summerwine (Dressage: succesful level S*) and Willi Wesley by Wolkenstein (Dressage: successful level M*).

In his Futurity evaluations, this elegant foal impressed with effortless, elastic and expressive movement with excellent use of the hind leg and plenty of impulsion in all his gaits. He also received a Premium with the British Hanoverians at his foal inspection. He is a great prospect for buyers who want temperament and rideability without compromise on movement and type.
