This Beautiful young colt impressed the futurity judges with a near perfect canter. scoring 9 for canter and an 8.41 over all in his futurity assessment achieving comments from judges like “a very rangey foal with excellent scope and balanced gaits, the real highlight is the canter which develops excellent expression and reach”

Captain Tom’s sire,Contendro I, needs no introduction. He is the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 World #1 Eventing Sire and World #25 Jumping Sire! He is also the only sire in the world in the top 20 of the CSO and Eventing rankings, with also some international winners in Dressage.

Contendro I’s sire, the legendary Contender, is one of the world’s leading jumping sires. His notable offspring include the likes of Montender (Marco Kucher), individual European gold medalist 2005; Checkmate (Meredith Michaels Beerbaum), team gold WEG Kentucky 2010; and Carlo (Nick Skelton), individual European bronze medalist 2010. He can also be found in the pedigrees of the top stallions Chellano Z and Balou du Rouet.

Captain Tom’s Mother is by Hold Up Premier jumped at international level under Wout Jan van der Schans. He won several 1.40m and 1.50m classes, like in Rotterdam, Frankfurt, Zuidlaren and Goes. He was 2nd in the Derby of Valkenswaard and 4th in the Derby’s of Eindhoven and Lummen, 6th in the Sires of the World in Lanaken and 8th in the Derby of La Baule. His mother line has produced not only showjumpers but PSG and grand prix dressage horses as well as successful eventers.
