All the way from Scotland our lovely collection of talented dressage foals is joined by Sannabays Dominator, from the breeding of Lauren Piercy at Sannabays Sports Horses.

Sannabays Dominator is by the very interesting young son of Dante Weltino, Dante Alighieri. In his performance test, Dante Alighieri scored 9.0 for rideability and has been winning in young horse classes in Germany.

This makes him an inspired choice on Dominator’s mother who brings the influence of the famous Jazz. Jazz is topping the WBFSH rankings for dressage sires and has been doing so for more years than any other stallion by far. Even more remarkable is the fact that his son Johnson is equally holding on to second spot. This really tells us something about the influence and reliability of the Jazz blood when it comes to successful performance breeding.

Behind that comes further well established performance blood from Scandic on a motherline that in the last generations alone has bred a number of successful PSG/Inter I horses, including Sinatra, Hartog, under the saddle of the American rider Jennifer Wetterau, and Checkmate, successful in the USA with Helen Claire McNulty.

Etoga has been very consistent in producing quality foals with elegant long lines and expressive gaits. Her 2017 foal by Dream On was selected for the AES Elite foal auction. Last year’s foal by Feinrich scored a very nice Gold score at the Futurity with excellent vet marks, and this year’s foal is no exception. The evaluators particularly remarked on his wonderful expressive trot and self-assured, uphill movement.
